Amanda's Message to 2001 Miss Angelic Queen of Illinois Contestants
"Something I discovered in my early days of pageantry was that I just enjoyed donating
my time to too many charites/causes to choose just one as a platform. That fact along with some events
in my life helped me to decide to create my own platform so versatile it could be used for any number of projects.
I've already been able to adapt the program and use it in two nursing homes, an
elementary school, and in a domestic violence prevention center. The name of this
program is BELIEVE & ACHIEVE."
Amanda is
on the College President's List, National Honor Roll, and National Dean's List.
She has received the Commemorative Medal of Honor and is listed in Who's Who Among Women.
"I belong to both the
Illinois Childcare Association and ITHI (Illinois Teachers of the Hearing Impaired). I have obtained
over 20 continuing education hours by attending PSO/ICCA teaching conferences. I've
also been named to the Professional Woman's Advisory Board and the National Association
for Female Executives. This past year found me appearing in Who's Who of Professional
and Business Women."
